About This Project

Issue: A beautiful design with no known method of installation.

Solutions: The architects designed a new lighted soffit for the two-story lobby. Visible from the second floor, the soffit needed to be clad on all three sides. Oops! The first floor ceiling height would not accommodate standard drywall, plus 3-sided decorative panels.

Railset was configured into a 3-sided frame and attached directly to the steel stud. LED light strips were inserted into the center recess on the Railset rail. Beautiful anodized aluminum panels created the right first impression.

The architects also specified a new drop ceiling with a perimeter light cove for the second floor. Railset frames were mounted directly to the ceiling hard-lid. Panels in the same beautiful anodized metal finish clad the ceiling with enough recess for the light cove.
