About This Project

Issue: Maintaining perfect alignment when installing panels on a 3-story tall atrium wall. The laminated cork panels selected for displaying student art were fragile. The installers needed to make sure edges were protected on all sides.

Solution: Railset with the Channel mid-wall reveal. One laser line at the bottom of the installation sets the level. The 10’ rails are spliced together all the way to the top. Once in place the rails are plumbed, adjusting with the edge trim and batten as needed. With all rails tightened down, the entire mounting surface is square, level and plumb. Panels are easily cleated or clipped to the frames. The channel mid-wall is inserted into the horizontal clips and the vertical splines. Panel and trim are both installed on the same surface for perfect alignment from bottom to top.
